SOME EASY SOLUTIONS: FIXING LEAKS, TAKING SHORTER SHOWERS, & PROPERLY ALIGNING SPRINKLERS
Residents can help by reducing water usage outdoors by 60% and indoors by 10%. Clearfield City recommends residents follow Weber Basin Water Conservancy District’s guidelines for watering to decrease usage. The guidelines include watering 20 minutes for overhead sprays and 40 minutes for rotor sprinklers per week.
The state’s Slow the Flow program has great indoor and outdoor water conservation tips available on their website. Some of the tips include fixing leaks, taking shorter showers, properly aligning sprinklers, adjusting lawn mower heights, and more!
